Claudy Jongstra is a textile artist whose work can be found in museums all over the world (Stedelijk Museum, Smithsonian Design Museum, MOMA, Victoria & Albert Museum) Collaborators include Rem Koolhaas, Donna Karen, Christian Lacroix and John Galliano.

She is regarded for her large-scale artworks and architectural installations as well as for her deep-seated commitment to the environment. Carefully considering the evolution of color and material from source to site, Jongstra is immersed in all aspects of her work: maintaining a flock of rare, indigenous Drenthe Heath sheep and growing botanical dyestuffs on a small-scale biodynamic farm in the northern Netherlands.

Studio Claudy Jongstra needed a website with emphasis on the visual; the ability to quickly scroll though visual content, combined with an integrated system of keywords/tags. I created a blog-like website that works like an archive. It immediately shows the work, lets you quickly scroll through the images, while the necessary information (like project info, links, materials used, size, pigments) is available on the left. The work is divided in different categories, since Claudy works in different fields (art, architecture and fashion). An extra category is ‘process’, which demonstrates the way in which she creates felt and pigments, an integral part of her creative practice.
